Welcome to Osa Outdoors

History

With over 20 years experience in the tourism industry, I envisioned creating a company in which I could provide high quality personalized service, not only to new clients, but also to repeat customers who have kept in touch and return to run tours with me year after year, becoming friends and sometimes even co-workers.

A commercial river guide by age 18, I spent 13 years developing my career. After a period of training local guides in Costa Rica, I moved to the United States where I spent five years working on the beautiful rivers of Northern California, four years of which I was River Manager.

Returning to Costa Rica to pursue a university education in 2000, I made my way through school for five years by combining my studies with another managerial position, in which I coordinated white water rafting trips for cruise ship clients arriving in Puntarenas (the Pacific coast) and Limon (the Caribbean coast).

Unique Tours

In 2006 I moved to Manuel Antonio where together with my brother, Kanutto Fuentes, we founded Unique Tours. Our company specialized in adventure tour photography, wedding photography, white water rafting, sea and mangrove kayaking experiences.

As a proud Costa Rican, I believe that every service booked through Osa Outdoors should exemplify Costa Rica and its riches. Our local knowledge, kindness and helpful guides are here to teach you about the different symbiotic relationships within our special environment. Costa Rica is amazingly home to 6% of the world's biodiversity. Attractive and popular destinations include active volcanoes, mountain ranges, waterfalls, national parks, biological reserves, forests, private refuges, indigenous reserves, lagoons, lakes, islands, beautiful beaches and so much more. Simply speaking, there is something for everyone in Costa Rica.
